It is an honor to have been elected your 2017-2018 NE-2B Section Chief. The entire Section leadership and I are working diligently to ensure that this upcoming year is the most successful this Section has ever seen.
This past summer presented another successful event for the Order of the Arrow as over 750 Arrowmen came from around the nation to serve on the Operation Arrow staff for the 2017 National Scout Jamboree. This upcoming year is looking to be even more exciting, as we prepare for the 2018 National Order of the Arrow Conference at Indiana University. This is set to be a momentous event with 8,000 brothers gathering from around the country to connect with the spirit of our Order.
Our Section is no less excited for the programs that will be taking place this year. From my
position, there is one piece of advice that I can give to any brother within our five lodges: get
involved. Whether you become active in your lodge’s committees, attend the various leadership trainings such as NLS or our annual section training, or attend OA High adventure to partake in the trek of a lifetime, I encourage you to make your mark on the history of our Order and encourage your fellow brothers in your local units to do the same. Soon enough, this year will be coming to a close and we will be meeting at Camp Seton for our annual Conclave. Let’s run an exciting year, so that by the time that weekend comes, we will have reached out to all of our brothers in the Section and helped them understand what makes this brotherhood so exciting.
I am excited for this year, and excited to help the lodges in our Section grow to be as successful as possible. The Section leadership has many goals to accomplish this year in order to do just that, and I look forward to interacting with each and every one of you in order to accomplish these goals for the betterment of our Order.
Yours in Brotherhood,
NE-2B Section Chief
